Gifting Tree
Our Gifting Tree adorns the main wall of our adoption center, giving you a lasting way to honor or remember a beloved pet, friend, or family member while supporting our mission with your one-time donation. All Gifting Tree donations help provide food, veterinary care, and other direct needs of the dogs in our care.You can choose from among 3 greyhound poses:
- Lounging greyhound
- Running greyhound at full contraction
- Running greyhound at full extension
and 3 donation levels:
- Bronze: $250
- Silver: $500
- Gold: $1000
To get started with your Gifting Tree donation:

Our Gifting Tree was hand-painted by one of our volunteers, artist Robin James. Bunny Richardson, another volunteer, was instrumental in bringing our Gifting Tree Program to life. We are grateful to both for this special program.
Heartship Medical Fund
The Heartship Medical Fund has been established to help GPI adopters with medical expenses for a GPI greyhound when an adopter is unable to find sufficient funds to provide necessary care. The Heartship Fund exists to help prevent returning a GPI dog due to a medical catastrophe and provides a resource that might help keep the greyhound at home and the family together.
Funding
Your donations can help your fellow adopters who have fallen on hard times. Donate on-line through our "Donate Now" button or by mailing a check. On-line, select the "Heartship Medical Fund" option or note on your check that you want your donation to go to the Fund. Your donations will go directly to helping your fellow adopters.
Eligibility and Guidelines
• The adopter must complete a Heartship Medical Fund Application.
• The dog must have been adopted from GPI.
• Eligible medical conditions are treatable injuries or diseases.
• Medical conditions that are not eligible include amputation and chemotherapy for cancer diagnoses, terminal illness, elective medical care, and injuries resulting from owner negligence, including but not limited to dog park accidents.
Applications
• Contact a member of the Board of Directors for an Application and details.
Disbursements
• Payments must be made directly to the veterinarian providing the medical care.
Shopping Donation Programs

Have lots of spare change lying around? Why not donate it to the dogs? Pick up a take-out box at the kennel to collect spare change then drop off the container at the kennel in Woodinville in the designated collection box.
