Loving That Val

After nearly eight years of love, laughter, and on-demand check scratching, we said goodbye to Valsora, our big red brindle boy, on July 5, 2009.

Run, Val, run!

Val was family time-keeper and precision alarm clock, world-class napping champion, and winner of all dream races.

He was secret defender of the couch, master counter surfer, and lover of all things chocolate or coffee flavored.

Val was a dancer, a prancer, a jokester, and beloved confidant.

He was a fierce wolf in his daydreams, a cat-like connoisseur of sunbeams and fluffy beds.

Conqueror of locked food bins, zippered lunch bags, hidden candy stashes; friendly and gracious to all creatures except squeaky toys.

Brave and beautiful, he survived encounters with guinea pigs, rabbits, robins, raccoons, and possums; survived an emergency splenectomy; survived chemotherapy.

Run, Val,run! Good boy! Turn your head and laugh with your greyhound friends as you always did. We’ll catch up with you later.
