Dearly missed by everyone at GPI
It is with great sadness that I have to report that Skippy passed away this afternoon.
Bustinout Skippy (Nickname: Skippy) came to us from Kansas on the load this past Sunday. On Sunday he wasn’t doing well – very lethargic, throwing up, and dribbling pee. On Monday, Marchet ran him to the vet. After much diagnosis and consultation the vet went in to do an exploratory surgery today. Sadly they found a mass on his urethra and despite the vet’s great efforts there was nothing more that could be done for Skippy so we let him pass on the table.
I went to see Skippy this morning. The wonderful folks at Bothell Pet Hospital had given him a bath. I spent as long as I could with him. What an absolute sweetheart. He reminds me so much of my Jasper as he would put his head down and snuggle up into my armpit and just soak up the neck scritches.
Good-bye sweet boy – may you no longer be in pain – fly round that track in the sky.
