Rainbow Bridge Memorial

Dearly missed by Christine & Svein Larsson, Vernon, BC

 For the second time in as many months, we have said goodbye to our dearest friend Rio. We believe Freckles was having way too much fun at the bridge and wanted to share.

Rio was our first greyhound and for that we are forever greytful. She came into our lives in August 2003 after a successful racing career and as a brood mom. Our sweet princess, and a princess she was, stole our hearts right from the get go. Rio was a quiet dog, only barking when she knew we were getting ready for a walk and then would only let out a couple of barks while down on her front legs, tail awagging and with such a sparkle in her eyes! She was a social butterfly by nature and so enjoyed meeting new pups and their owners. She could spot a pup from blocks away and when we got closer, she would stop in her tracks, ears perked, tail wagging and do a little play dance to let everyone know that she was here and ready to meet.

Rio, we thought we would have a few more years, but it was not to be – is there ever really enough time? It has broken our hearts to know that you are not with us anymore, but are comforted in knowing that you are in a better place. We thank you for being our cherished companion, for being the special princess that you always were, and just for being you. We miss you so much and until we meet again, run free our sweet little funny-bunny.
