(Age 7 at time of passing)
Dearly missed by Dave & Sandy Graf of Spokane, WA
“Miss Joy was my first hound. She raced at the Post Falls track. She is the one that got me hooked on greyhounds. She was the silliest, sauciest thing, full of attitude. She loved hiking through the woods and was afraid of nothing (well, except thunder).
Suddenly one day she stopped running, and a rear leg was sore at times. Deep down, having lost our boy hound to cancer the previous year, I somehow knew it was serious so I waited until the pain came more often, then I took her to the vet. On August 7, 2001, an inoperable tumor was discovered on her spine. I will never forget going to see her before she went to the bridge, how she held her paw out to me when I came into the room. I am thankful that Dave and I could hold her as we sent her over the bridge. A day doesn’t pass that I don’t think of my sweet girl. I hope she has plenty of trails to explore where she is.”
