Baxter

Baxter (R) with Mom Kim and Ernie (L).
This adoption is a 7-year-old who was returned to us about a year ago due to a medical emergency in his family. He has lived in several foster homes since then. Well, his most recent one turned out to be the perfect fit for him, and today they made things official! Let’s welcome Baxter to his new forever home with one of our long-time volunteers and his new 10-year-old greyhound sibling Ernie! – Mike Forrest
Jack

At the request of Jack’s new family, we do not have a family photo to share but here’s Jack on his Gotcha Day.
This family previously adopted from us nearly 10 years ago and recently came in looking for a new companion. They wanted to meet a whole variety of greyhounds and we were happy to oblige! After narrowing down the list it came down to two of our bigger boys, but in the end, it was the one with the big personality that made the best connection. So, congratulations to our UK boy Jack and his new family! At the request of Jack’s new family, there is no family photo. – Mike Forrest
Fru

New parents Kyle and Carol and their son, Christopher.
We recently had a 1-year-old whippet-ish mix turned into us because she was a little too exuberant with the resident cats. She’s a delightful, energetic, playful pup who loves people and is eager to learn. She needed a family that would be able to tire her out while also working with her on her puppy behaviors and training. Then a couple who volunteered at GPI many years ago contacted us looking for a smaller pup for them and their nearly 4-year-old son. After an introduction and some time working with our trainer they brought her home as a foster, and today they officially adopted Fru, who is now known as Pru (short for Prudence)!
Jess

Jess with new Mom, Madison and new Grandma, Julie.
This adopter has been around greyhounds for a long time but has never had one of her own. Her mom even volunteers with GPI regularly! The time was finally right to adopt, so she decided to come in and meet some of the dogs she had heard so much about. We introduced quite a few hounds, but it was the last one to come out – a bouncy, affectionate black 4-year-old from Australia – that really showed off her stuff and made a quick connection. After a Brightwater walk this morning they signed the papers – congratulations to Jess (now known as Onyx) and her new mom & grandma!
