Storm: April Dog of the Month – ADOPTED!!

March 31, 2024

Please contact Moira Corrigan ([email protected]) for more information about Storm.
Storm
Tag No: 7021
Registered Name: Heavens Storm
Breed: Greyhound
Date of Birth:  November 1, 2017
Color: Black/White
Cat Trainable: No
Dog Friendly: Ok with large and small
Kid Friendly: Unknown
Weight:  75
Location: Woodinville, WA (Kennel)
Comments:  Storm is a gentleman.  He loves a walk and affection.  He loves people and saying hello to everyone.  Storm is a happy guy - his tail is always wagging.  And don't let his age fool you - he has plenty of energy.  He is missing his left eye, but he sees just fine, and it definitely does not slow him down at all.  Storm needs a home with a fenced yard and with a canine companion.Sponsored by Michele and Robert Liburdy

Storm would like to have a sponsor while he waits for his forever family.  If interested, see: https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/

Aurora: December Dog of the Month

December 1, 2023

Please contact Moira Corrigan ([email protected]) for more information about Aurora.

Aurora
Tag No: 6948
Registered Name: None
Breed: Greyhound Mix
Date of Birth:  Approx March 2019
Color: Black
Cat Trainable: No
Dog Friendly: Unknown
Kid Friendly: Unknown
Weight: 70 pounds
Location: Foster home.
Comments: Aurora is absolutely darling!!!  She is very affectionate and friendly!  Aurora LOVES belly rubs and loves to be outside and sunbathe!  She has been in a foster home since the beginning of May and is doing wonderfully.  She lives with another greyhound and a smaller dog and does really well with both.  Her foster mom says she loves to cuddle and if you sit on the floor with her, she will rest her head on you somehow.  Aurora loves balls, not to fetch but to squeak!  She has the cutest stretch, and yawns and makes a funny sound when she does.  She is so sweet and wants to please.  Her foster mom has taught her to sit and is working on "paw".  Aurora is eager to please and loves playing with toys.  She walks well on leash (most of the time - on occasion she can be quite strong) and loves her walks.  Aurora does have a high prey drive when she sees something move outside, so she needs someone who can continue her training (she works well with redirection).  There are two other dogs in her foster home, and they like to play fight - Aurora doesn't get involved when they do, but if she does, she likes to slap with her paws and since she is so strong, she could hurt a small dog, but if you tell her to stop, she does!  She has done well on her housebreaking.  She also eats well and is not protective of her food.  Aurora is really good in the car and mostly sleeps.  Her foster mom thinks she will do well with other dogs and/or children as she has poked and prodded and done all the things a greyhound often doesn't like, and Aurora has not reacted at all!  What a sweetie!  Aurora may be ok as an only dog, but she does not like to be crated.  Aurora will need a home without cats and with someone who can manage her strength.   This is one special girl - such a cuddle bug - someone is missing out on this sweetheart!

Plato: September Dog of the Month

September 1, 2023

Please contact Moira Corrigan ([email protected]) for more information about Plato.
Plato
Tag No: 6796
Registered Name: None
Breed: Greyhound
Date of Birth:  August 2019
Color: Dark Brindle
Cat Trainable: No
Dog Friendly: See Comments
Kid Friendly: No
Weight:  65
Location: Woodinville, WA (Kennel)
Comments:  Plato is a friendly, playful guy.  He loves to play ball and loves car rides.  And he loves those neck scritches.  He can be unsure of anything new, so needs a calm, confident adopter.  He may need to be an only dog in his home as he injured the female greyhound in his previous home.  Plato is doing well with our trainers and has been very well behaved with our volunteers.  We do not recommend him with children.  Plato would do best in a home with a fenced yard, without cats or other dogs. If you would like to help support Plato while he waits for his forever home, you might want to consider sponsoring him.  More info here:  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/

Benny: July Dog of the Month

June 30, 2023

Please contact Moira Corrigan ([email protected]) for more information about Benny.

Benny
Tag No: 6985
Registered Name: Snakey Stones
Breed: Greyhound
Date of Birth:  December 15, 2019
Color: Black
Cat Trainable: No
Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds.  Ok with others (see comments)
Kid Friendly: Yes
Weight: 70 pounds
Location: Woodinville, WA (Kennel)
Comments: Benny is a lovely boy.  He is a leaner - affectionate and kind - a sweetheart. Benny is on the quieter side and can get stressed at times, but is fine with reassurance. Benny will need a quieter home - busy/noisey makes him uneasy.  If he is in a home with a yard, he needs a 6 foot fence with a very secure fence/gates, as he has a tendency to be an escape artist given the chance.  Benny will need a home without cats. He is ok with medium to large dogs, and is fine with smaller dogs as long as introduced properly.

Jude & Jordy: June Dogs of the Month

May 31, 2023

Please contact Moira Corrigan ([email protected]) for more information about Jude.

Jude (Left, blue collar)
Tag No: 6960
Registered Name: Bevan's Magic
Breed: Greyhound
Date of Birth:  Sept 17, 2019
Color: Black
Cat Trainable: No
Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, Unknown with others
Kid Friendly: Unknown
Weight: 75 pounds
Location: Woodinville, WA (Kennel)
Comments: Jude is an upbeat, outgoing, confident guy.  He absolutely loves water and playing ball.  He will need an active home and is not suitable for an apartment/condo/townhome.  Jordy and Jude are brothers, but would do best in separate homes as they get a little too competitive with each other.  Jude would do best in a home without young children as he can be a little oblivious when he starts playing.  He walks well on leash and loves his walks with our volunteers.  Jude came to us from Australia.

Hey Jude, don't let me down - please find me a sponsor!  If this interests you, please see this link for more info:  https://www.greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/

Jordy  (Right in header photo, orange collar)
Tag No: 6961
Registered Name: Magic Luke
Breed: Greyhound
Date of Birth:  Sept 17, 2019
Color: Black
Cat Trainable: No
Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, Unknown with others
Kid Friendly: Unknown
Weight: 60 pounds
Location: Woodinville, WA (Kennel)
Comments: Jordy is an upbeat, outgoing guy.  He absolutely loves to play ball!  He will need an active home with a 6 foot fence, and is not suitable for an apartment/condo/townhome.  Jordy and Jude are brothers, but would do best in separate homes as they get a little too competitive with each other.  He can play a little rough, so we do not suggest him for a home with young children.  He has started to go on walks with our volunteers - all the new sights and sounds are a little unnerving to Jordy, but this should improve as he gets more exposure to the outside world.  Jordy is on a special diet which has helped him tremendously with his digestive system.  As he settles into a home, the special diet may or may not be needed, but it helps him while he stays with us in the kennel.  Jordy came to us from Australia.

Jordy is jealous of the other dogs that have sponsors.  If you'd like to sponsor Jordy, please see this link for more info: https://www.greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/
