Dearly missed by Scott D. Wilson
Yona & I met at Greyhound Pets, Inc. in 2009, where I worked as both volunteer and staff. In a very short amount of time I took quick notice of Yona, as she carried a demeanor that was noticeably and immediately unique.
It was on February 26th of that year that she was officially adopted.
We lived in Seattle for years, Los Angeles, Pasadena, Oakland and eventually Point Richmond, CA. She adapted to each new location happily and enthusiastically. I was single during our time together, and she was my devoted partner.
She was my equal in every way, but to be completely honest, she was my superior. She was royal, regal in every possible way and always such a happy girl.
Everyone and everything was a friend to her. She adored meeting people. As the years went by Yona and I were inseparable. I was fortunate enough to have jobs working from home which enabled me to spend a great deal of time with her. As years progressed, she celebrated her 13th birthday in style with vigor and good health. Yona began experiencing liver issues which were monitored, however, just 24 days shy of her 14th birthday we said goodbye to one another.
My sweet, sweet girl passed peacefully on my bed (which was rightfully hers) and in my arms on September 30th.
You were one of a kind my dearest Yo and I will miss you until my dying breath.
