Dearly missed by Nancy Lewis of Seattle, Washington.
“Mash taught me the true meaning of a loyal companion, as trite as that sounds. She always wanted to be with me. She was always eager to please. For someone with little experience in the canine world, Mash was a perfect dog. I remember exactly when I realized how smitten I was with this girl. I was just sitting on the couch with her. Of course, I quickly understood how special this breed of dog really is.
Now I have the two boys left with me. I realize now that in her quiet, calm and peaceful manner, she was the leader around here. The boys seem a little lost with her absence. They clearly took many cues from her. I will miss her ecstatic exuberance when I would arrive home. It didn’t matter whether I was gone an hour or a day. She knew when I was home before I even got out of the car. What I will miss most about Mash was those big brown eyes looking at me with unconditional devotion.”
