Every year, our volunteers organize a grand social meet in each region to bring volunteers and adopters together for a day of interaction and swapping "greyt" tales. We also welcome interested adopters to visit any one of these events to learn more about what the organization does, and to hear first hand feedback from our adopters about their experience of joy and love with the greyhounds and how it changed their lives.
Since such events are organized in a large scale, we always appreciate any extra helping hand with the running of such a gathering. Donations in cash or items are welcomed to help us with the expenses and to raise funds at these events. If you're interested in volunteering or donating, please contact the person or persons listed below.
Detailed information will be provided as the date gets closer to each event. (Note: An event may be cancelled due to lack of participation or interest.) Please check back here often for the latest updates. For our meet and greet schedule, please see our Calendar.

Parade: 11:30AM to 12:30PMBremerton's 19th Annual St. Patricks Day Parade
This will be GPI's first participation with this event. All dogs participating in the event will receive their very own green shamrock bandana ($2.00 donation requested) to wear for the parade and to take home for next year. Be creative and make a fun Irish costume for your grey and yourself. Even if your grey cannot walk the approximate 6 block parade route, we need lots of assistance. Parade participants will have special parking at the Windemere RE Office at 6th & Park in Bremerton.Begins at the Westsound Bank at 6th and Pacific

Please be aware that parking is a bit limited. You can park up near the street on the grassy area, in the gravel parking area next to the little gray house, or on the tarmac in front of the kennel building. Please do not park in the cul-de-sac, in the neighbor's yard, or block the neighbors access to their home. Thank you for your consideration.
Your greyhounds are welcome, but please do not walk your dog(s) on the neighbors property. There will be a lot of people and food around, so know what your dog is doing and where he/she is. All dogs must remain on leash at all times. The turnout areas will be available for pottying your dogs; we ask that you pick up after your dogs. Please note that the large picnic area will not be available for running your dogs during this event.
