BOYS
	Ace Tag No: 5242 Registered Name: Toast N Jam Age: 2.5 Color: Brindle Cat Friendly: Trainable Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Seattle, WA (Foster) Comments: Ace is shy and reserved at first, but soon comes around. He is a happy, friendly soul. He loves to be brushed and loved on. Ace loves belly rubs and will happily roll over to assist you in this effort. We do not recommend Ace for an apartment/condo. Ace might benefit from being in a home with another more confident dog. Ace tested as cat friendly in our cat testing but has never lived with a cat. Foster Home Update: Ace seems to get along really well with all other dogs, although he only lives with Greyhounds. He is very, very interested in his foster home's cats, but he has not had a full introduction as yet. He has become very attached to one of the other greyhounds in his foster home and tries hard to mimic her behavior and follows her wherever she goes. If all three of the dogs go out on a leashed walk, he drags way behind all of us. His foster mom is going to work some more on his leash manners. He learned the back stairs within one day of being with us and also has the doggie door down. There are no small kids or glass sliding doors at my home, so we haven't had any opportunity to learn these things yet. He really enjoys to just lay outside in loose soil. He is a real packrat, and can gather over a dozen toys onto his bed in a few hours time. He also likes to pull the newspaper into bed with him. He continues to be a gentle soul, who is very withdrawn, but his foster home's greyhounds work with him daily to try and get him to play with them, and he seems to struggle with that. I can tell he wants to just let loose and run with them, but he's also easily confused, and will frequently just lay down and roll over when the business of play starts up. It's only been a week, and he's made some real progress, so I fully anticipate a few more weeks and he'll really start to come out of his shell. Second Foster Home Update: Ace is still not fully trust worthy with cats. He's very, very good in the house. He likes to go outside when the weather is nice and will take naps outside. He's very mild mannered. He really likes squeaky toys and is learning how to play both by himself and with the other two greyhounds in his foster home. He is learning a few commands. Ace has done well with kids at booths and enjoyed being petted, but doesn't seek out attention. He's doing well on walks and is gaining confidence.

He is a friendly, happy soul. Ace has an old hock fracture, which is healed, and it doesn't slow him down at all. For such a tall boy, Ace walks very nicely beside you. He is affectionate and sweet. Ace will need a home without cats.
	Alex Tag No: 5282 Registered Name: Carl Sagan Age: 2 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Alex is a handsome boy. He is very calm for his age. He's friendly and sweet. He's on the quiet side and very well behaved. He is calm on leash. He is playful and loves to run with the other dogs. 	Anubis Tag No: 4696 Registered Name: Heavy Ton Age: 7.5 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds and other large dogs, no small dogs Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Carnation, WA (Foster) Comments: Anubis (aka Tony) is a big, strong boy. He has been in a home before. He knows how to use the dog door and is very good around the house. He LOVES to go for car rides and loves his walks. He is pretty good on leash, but has to be reminded of his leash manners when he sees something interesting. This is a boy that needs exercise. He can be a couch potato, but only after he has some exercise. Balls are an absolute favorite of his and he LOVES to play ball. Anubis/Tony needs a home without kitties or small dogs. He has done well in his foster home with the other dogs (greyhounds and non-greyhounds, all large), although he has to be reminded to 'calm' every now and then as he can spin up easily. He can be a bit of a talker when he wants something or wants to tell you something. He and his foster mom have quite the conversations; he is just a hoot! Anubis/Tony needs a home with a yard to play in and someone who wants to walk him. We do not recommend him for an apartment/condo. He's quite playful, loving and an absolute cutie! We do not recommend him for the first time dog owner. He respects authority and knows several commands and is always eager to please you. He also needs a home with a canine companion.

When you meet Brian, you will just fall in love!! He just loves people and is affectionate and easy going. He has a beautiful coat and is very well behaved. Brian needs to be the only apple of your eye, with no other animals in his home. He can do fine with other greys when he is out and about, but just doesn't want to share his home with them. We do not recommend him for a home with young children or for the first time dog owner. Brian is truly a wonderful boy! Won't you give him his forever home?

Calib is friendly, sweet and easy going. He is still young, but he is not wild. He broke a leg while racing and it is healed and he gets around just fine, but he would not do well with a lot of stairs or as a jogging/hiking partner. Calib needs a home without cats.
	Chico Tag No: 5315 Registered Name: Atascocita Chico Age: 6.5 Color: Red Cat Friendly: Yes Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, unknown with others Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: Chico is a sweet boy. He is a little on the timid side and could use some gentle guidance in the ways of the world. Chico can get a little cranky if he feels like other dogs are harassing him, but most of the time he is just sweet and gentle. Chico had a couple of toe amputations, but is healing well and should be fine as a companion in most situations. Chico will need a more experienced home and preferably with a friendly, easy-going canine companion (but not an over-dominant one).

He apparently broke a leg at the track, but shows no signs of it other than a slight limp. Cosmo tested as trainable in our cat testing, but has never lived with a cat.

He is friendly and outgoing. David tested as very trainable in our cat testing, but has never lived with cats. David broke a leg during his racing career. It is healed now and he does absolutely fine on it, but would not do well as a jogging partner. David loves to play with toys and just has a blast throwing the toys around. We have been working with David on his manners and he is learning amazingly fast; this is one smart dog who really wants to please you.

He is good around cats, children and small dogs. His owner was heartbroken to have to return him to us due to personal circumstances. Duke is very loving and is the perfect meeter and greeter. He is used to a house with a large yard and has lived in a home with another greyhound, cats and young children. Duke is a big boy, but just a sweetheart and came from a very loving home.

What a sweetheart; this boy will just melt your heart! He has been in a home before. Finley needs a home with a canine companion. He loves car rides and walks. He knows several commands. Finley is affectionate, friendly and all around wonderful!!
	Happy Boy Tag No: 5271 Registered Name: Kiowa Happy Boy Age: 3.5 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Yes, large and small Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Kirkland, WA (Foster) Comments: Happy Boy is just like his name; very friendly and happy. That tail always seems to be wagging. He is fairly calm for his age and even tempered. What a sweetie. Happy Boy needs a home without cats. Foster Home Update: As you can see from the photo, he gets along with our two little Chiapoos very well and they feel so comfortable with him that one was sharing his bed within the first hour of arriving at our house. He learned how to use the stairs very quickly, and took to his bed right away. Happy Boy rides very well in the car, loves to go for walks and is good on leash, and likes to play with toys. He has been a gentleman and done all his business outdoors. Although he is an energetic young boy, he knows how to restrain himself and be mostly calm in the house; he lets loose when turned out and runs a circuit around the yard a few times then bounds back in with tail wagging. Happy Boy needs regular walks and outings to burn a little energy and to keep from getting bored. Happy Boy is very interested in food and likes to put his nose on the kitchen counter but he responds well when told to "leave it". He is very eager to please and learning house manners will not be a problem for Happy Boy. Happy Boy is just that, one happy boy who wags his tail like crazy and gives kisses. He loves hugs, pets, kisses, neck scratching, belly rubs, and cookies in return. Foster Update: Happy Boy is adapting very well to home life. He is a very calm (except when you get his leash out), relaxed, affectionate, gentle and well-behaved gentleman. Early on Happy Boy chewed on a few things that weren't his, but he is so smart and eager to please that he has learned very quickly what is expected of him. Happy Boy has a bit of a peely nose which the doctor says is a benign form of Lupus, and his case is mild. The treatment has been to put Panalog cream on his nose until it heals and it is getting better. Happy Boy will be a wonderful addition to his future adoptive family. Happy Boy is our February 2012 Dog of the Month!!

	Linkz Tag No: 5077 Registered Name: Quik Linkz Age: 6 Color: Black Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Ok with greyhounds, not so with small dogs Kid Friendly: Unknown Location: Woodinville, WA Comments: We just can't figure out why Linkz has not been adopted yet; he is such a greyt boy. Linkz is an absolute character. He has the cutest tail that goes in all directions - can't seem to make up its mind whether it wants to go round and round or up and down. We've given Linkz a raised bed at the kennel and he absolutely loves it. He loves to check out new things and has the funniest, bouncy, happy run. Some of our volunteers have been working with him and his leash manners are quite good now. Linkz will need an active home and he would not make a good apartment dog. This boy loves life and will make you smile as well. Linkz has definitely matured and with a little exercise he soon mellows out and is happy to hang with you. Linkz needs a home without kitties or small dogs. Gotta love those ears!!! Linkz loves the kiddie pool and just loves to run in and out of it and keep cool on those hot days. He is an active boy and will need a more active home. He was retired from racing because when the race was done he would take off running and it took the trainer at least 25 minutes to catch him. Origami likes to play and is so darn cute playbowing at you and running around the yard. Once he knows you he is fine and it is now easy for the volunteers he knows to get him to come back inside. Origami is a goofy kid and will just make you smile. He will make a wonderful companion. He will need a home without cats. Foster Home Update: Origami has made great progress since going into a foster home. He is still shy with strangers, but doesn't try to bolt when we meet someone on the street, he learned stairs very quickly, found the toy box after only a couple of hours, he loves riding in the car, and is a real gentleman on leash. Origami has the sweetest floppy ears and a very sweet nature. It didn't take him long to figure out that neck scriches and ear rubs were a very good thing. He went to his first Meet and Greet, and hung back at first, but then he would let people approach him. He loved being with all the other greyhounds. He was OK with children and has played with a couple of other small dogs but he has not lived with either. Given a little more self confidence, which improves every day, he is going to be an awesome pet.
