Comments: Tristan lived in a foster home in Florida, with other greyhounds, before he came to us. He is very good around the house. He loves people, walks, car rides and toys. He is friendly, very sweet and a fun goofball. He loves to spend time with you. Tristan will need a home without cats or small dogs. Tristan would prefer to have a home with a fenced yard and a quieter environment. Tristan just loves his walks with our volunteers!!  He has gone on several home visits and is very good around the house. Curious about things going on, but very well behaved. Foster home update: Tristan is a sweet, sweet boy! He's fine riding in the car, he just needs a little encouragement to hop in. He loves to walk and has EXCELLENT leash manners. I only wish my 2 children were so good!! While he is interested in squirrels and other small dogs we pass on our walk, he never barks at them or pulls too much. Mostly he just seems curious and wants to watch them. When I tell him to keep walking, he listens to me. He loves to play with stuffed animals and will toss them up in the air and catch them. He's very entertaining to watch. He gets along well with our other 2 dogs and has learned quickly to wait for his turn to come inside and is respectful of the other dogs' spaces. Our other 2 dogs get on the sofa but he has never tried and doesn't seem interested. We won't allow him on the sofa so that his new owners can make that decision for their home. He is slowly learning the stairs. We've only left him alone for about 15 minutes so far and trying to increase it a little each day. I think he gets comfort from having the other dogs around. So unless he's with someone who spends a lot of time at home, he should probably have another greyhound with him. He seems to be a very fast learner and very eager to please us. He's a happy dog and a joy to have around. He loves to be "loved on" but then don't most greyhounds?!! He has a habit of sleeping with the tip of his tongue hanging out the front of his mouth and it's absolutely adorable!! He's a good sleeper (sleeps through the night). He really is just a precious, lovable dog. He has a wonderful disposition. He will make someone very happy!!
