Comments: Her foster mom reports that New Year can be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you she is very friendly. Eight years old is definitely not elderly for this gal as she enjoys running and playing as much as the younger dogs. New Year is absolutely fine with the cats in her foster home. In fact, she finds cats quite boring. She's also fine with the Pointer in her foster home and her foster mom suspects that she would be fine with small dogs as well. New Year is smart and hangs back, watching the dogs in her foster home for clues on how to behave and the routine they share. New Year's foster mom doesn't know how she would do with children except to say that older might be better for her. Younger kids might provide too much merriment for New Year's comfort zone. New Year is one of the "Golden Girls" (brood moms) that we recently brought in from back east. New Year stayed behind once her racing career ended and had 12 puppies over the years. She's really retired now and would love a couch and forever family of her own. Could that be with you?
